DECATUR - One of two men arrested in connection with a recent murder was formally charged Thursday, while the other was let go.
James Chatman, 45, was charged with three counts of murder in connection with the death of James "Nate" Johnson, 20.
Johnson was found shot to death inside an apartment on North College Street on March 10.
Chatman was appointed a public defender.
The other man originally arrested, Anthony Chatman, was not charged. Prosecutors say an investigation revealed Anthony Chatman was not involved in the murder.
