Mt. Zion– Crime Stoppers is teaming up with a local restaurant to help keep their organization strong.
The Decatur and Macon County area Crime Stoppers are holding an all day fundraiser at the Four Star Family Restaurant in Mt. Zion. 10 percent of all sales at the restaurant today will be donated to Crime Stoppers.
Waitress Amanda Montes is excited about giving back to the community "For one it's good to give back to the community regardless.. ya know even if it's not Crimestoppers.. something else you gotta give back. So that's one thing we're doing here we're giving back to the community. It's important to have the Crimestoppers because they're the ones going out here on a daily basis trying to keep our streets safe."
Decatur Police Officers will start working at the diner at 5pm. The fundraiser runs until nine tonight.
