Danville – Another phone scam warning, Danville police want you to be aware of suspicious callers asking for money.
Callers claim to be from Danville Fire and Police, soliciting money for fundraising. Public Safety Director Larry Thomason says Local 429 is not fundraising at this time.
Some callers have also asked for money for traveling to see a sick family member, or to purchase food. In all cases Thomason says hang up immediately, if the caller ID is available note where the call came from.
