Man arrested in connection with aggravated robbery


Springfield – Police arrest a man in connection with an aggravated robbery today.


29 year old Joshua Rego was arrested after police say he was involved in stealing two cars, one from a dealership. Police say he took about 450 dollar from the register at M and M Pools.


He is also accused of getting into an elderly woman's vehicle in Kohl's parking lot, armed and with a hand gun, and demanded money from her.


Police say they woman gave him six hundred and drove him to the area of Fifth and Spruce where he got out of the car. Officers caught up with Rego and arrested him at the Lincoln Lodge on Dirksen Parkway.
