Police investigating a shooting on Springfield’s northeast side


Springfield – Detectives are investigating a shooting on the city's northeast side.


Police Lieutenant Neal says a shooting took place near the Save-A-Lot. Officers found a man shot in the upper left leg, behind a house in the 100 block of South Paul Street.


Police say the victim does not know who shot him. He was taken to the hospital, and is expected to be okay. If you know anything about this shooting, call Springfield Police.
