Sheriff’s office looking for volunteer officers

Shelby County – The Shelby County board voted to add auxiliary officers to the sheriff's department.

These employees will be non-paid, and undergo normal officer training. The sheriff's office also trained two police dogs to the force, and a new digital radio system is expected to go online later this week.

If you would like to apply to be an auxiliary officer call the Shelby County Sheriff's Office.
