Due to rising water, the Red Cross is opening two shelters
to assist those who have been forced to evacuate their homes. The Homer
Village Hall in Champaign
County, located at 500 East 2nd Street
in Homer, is receiving evacuees. In addition, the First Church of
Christ in Vermilion County, located at 503 North Main Street in Georgetown.
Shelters can also be found on
the "shelters" tab in the Red Cross Tornado App (available for DROID
or Apple) or by visiting http://www.redcross.org/find-help/shelter.

call (217) 351-5861.
