Red Cross responding to flooding in Villa Grove

Villa Grove - The Red Cross is responding to a developing situation in Villa Grove (Douglas County).  Due to rapidly rising waters, local officials have requested the Red Cross open shelters for flood evacuees.  Two shelters are now open and ready to receive flood victims.

  • Villa Grove United Methodist Church at 302 2nd Street in Villa Grove
  • Cornerstone Church at 10 W. Jefferson St. in Villa Grove.

The response across central Illinois has now reached a level that we are requesting the assistance of our friends and neighbors.  Please donate to the Red Cross by visiting or calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.  Any gift, large or small, can make all the difference to flood victims in central Illinois.

Anyone who needs Red Cross shelter assistance and those interested in volunteering on this relief effort should call their local chapter office at (217) 351-5861.
