Illinois Marathon still needs volunteers


Champaign – The 2013 Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon is still in need of some help.


Race organizers say they need an additional 100 volunteers to have a safe race this year. Sixteen volunteers are needed for Friday's 5K, 50 for Saturday, plus 30 course intersections team reserves.


Anyone over the age of 18 can be a course intersection team volunteer. Anyone interested in volunteering for one of the open course team positions or other volunteer job should visit The race is Saturday morning at 7.
