URBANA - From 10-2 on Saturday, Apr. 27, locals will have the chance to properly dispose of medications, both over-the-counter and prescription.
Local police all across Central Illinois are taking part in National Drug Take-Back day, at a handful of participating Walgreen's.
Urbana Police Lt. Rich Surles says the drugs are packaged and handed over to the DEA, no questions asked.
The effort is meant to prevent medications from making their way into the wrong hands, along with preventing them from entering our water.
