Middle school gives coach Boston finish line

Champaign-- Cross country coach Julie Mills was 0.6 miles from the Boston Marathon finish line when the bombs went off.

She wasn't able to finish the race, but on Thursday students and staff at Edison Middle School set up a finish line for her to run through at the Champaign school. Mills led runners into the school's playground and through a finish-line ribbon. Friends, neighbors and parents cheered.

Mills said she was surprised with the finish line because it was a training run for a local 5K race. Mills called it "incredibly sweet and totally crazy."
