Grand Jury Returns Indictments in James Adam Bertin Murder Case
PANA - A Christian County grand jury returned indictments today against four Pana residents in the death of James Adam Bertin.
Dylan Carroll, 17, Lee Coke, 39, Victor Chain Pickel, 37, were indicted for Mob Action. Travis Gregg, 29, was indicted for Mob Action and First Degree Murder.
If convicted, Travis Gregg would face a mandatory prison sentence of 20-to-60 years.
The indictment alleges, in multiple counts, that Travis Gregg stabbed to death James Adam Bertin. Bond is set at $500,000 for Travis Gregg and $250,000 for each of the remaining defendants.
"I am extremely appreciative of the thorough work done by law enforcement," said Christian County State's Attorney Mike Havera.
Havera promised to work with aggressively with law enforcement to ensure accountability. Havera also added an additional criminal proceeding is being brought against a juvenile in regards to these events.
