Peoria -- The trial of the man accused of killing five members of central Illinois family is set to resume.
Christopher Harris is on trial in Peoria for the deaths of 46-year-old Raymond Gee and his 39-year-old wife Ruth Gee, along with his 11-year-old son Austin, her 14-year-old son Dillen and her 16-year-old daughter Justina. The couple's 3-year-old daughter was beaten but survived.
Investigators allege Harris and his brother, Jason Harris, broke into the home to sexually assault Justina and rob the family. Prosecutors say Jason Harris, who accepted a plea deal carrying a 20-year prison sentence, will testify he saw his brother emerge from the house in Beason and beat Dillen.
Thursday saw a crime scene investigator describe the trauma suffered by the victims and the blood-spattered condition of the house.
