Champaign, Ill. -- One person is dead after a shooting in Champaign, and police are still looking for those behind it.
Police were called out to Country Brook Apartments in the 2600 block of Springfield Avenue in Champaign after 9:00 p.m.
There, they found 24 year old, Stevie Blount who had been shot multiple times. He was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:12 p.m. An autopsy was performed, and an inquest may be held at a later time.
Witnesses told police they heard several gunshots in the area of the apartment complex. They also reported seeing two men running across Springfield Avenue from Country Brook after the gunshots.
No arrests have been made, and police need your help.
