SPRINGFIELD - Firefighters are investigating a fire that destroyed three homes early Wednesday morning.
Fire Chief Ken Fustin says multiple crews responded to the 1100 block of North Fourth Street around 3:30am. The fire started in an old, unoccupied two-story home in the Enos Park neighborhood. It then quickly collapsed and started fires in the homes on either side.
Firefighters are investigating the cause. All three homes are total losses. No one was injured in the fire, however 9 people are displaced.
