Danville – The city of Danville has mad a deal on electric aggregation, but it is not as good a deal as other cities have gotten.
Danville's low bid came from Homefield Energy at 4.33 cents per kilowatt an hour for the next 22 months. That is higher than the rate the city of Urbana got from Homefield, and also higher than Champaign and Vermilion County aggregate rates from other energy suppliers.
The price bid is still lower than the standard rate Ameren charges.
