Springfield – The governor is pushing for a ban on high capacity ammunition.
He met with parents of children killed in the Connecticut shootings, who say a ban on high capacity ammunition magazines will help save lives. State Senator Dan Kotowski introduced legislation late last week. That would ban the sale, delivery and possession of magazines that accept more than ten rounds.
Quinn and Senate President Jon Cullerton urge lawmakers to take it up before adjourning May 31st.
