Health Agency Collecting Donations for Tornado Victims
DANVILLE - Starting Tuesday, nurses with the Whitestar Home Health Agency are collecting donations that will soon be sent to the victims of this week's tragic tornado in Oklahoma.
On May 31, Nursing Supervisor Darci Dreher and several other colleagues will deliver clothing, shoes, toiletries, water bottles and non perishable items down south.
It's a cause uniting the community of Danville and other Central Illinois counties. Dreher says they've received many hefty donations already.
If you'd like to help out, donations can be taken to Whitestar at 108 N. Vermilion Street during office hours, Mon-Fri 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Anyone unable to travel may call the office at 217-442-0605, and donations can be picked up.
Other drop-box locations include Danville Curves, North Logan Health Care and Danville Care Center.
