Springfield - A man is sentenced to 65 years for the murder of a Springfield man back in 2009.
22 year old Antonio Phillips was sentenced to 65 years in prison for armed robbery and murder of 24 year old William Suggs. Phillips will serve an additional 15 years for using a gun.
A jury found a Springfield man guilty of killing a man in 2009, when he appeared in court back in March.
It took the jury under four hours to find 23 year old Antonio Phillips guilty of murder and armed robbery, in the 2009 death of William Suggs. Suggs was shot and killed while sitting in his car on Springfield's near Westside.
Antonio Phillips' cousin Jonathon Phillips is also charged with the murder and armed robbery.
