Meetings to answer questions on Illinois deer herd
Springfield -- The Illinois Department of Natural Resources plans a series of meetings in June to answer questions from the public about the state's deer herd.
Staff members from the department's Division of Wildlife Resources will answer questions on the deer management program, hunting regulations and surveillance of chronic wasting disease, a fatal brain condition in deer.
The department is also taking comments from the public about its deer program.
The meetings will be held in Rockford, St. Charles, Champaign, Carterville and Barry. More information, including the dates and times of the meetings, is available on the Department of Natural Resources website.
