Traffic light no longer flashing red at Main and Oakland intersection
Decatur – The traffic lights at West Main Street and Oakland Avenue will go back to normal.
The lights were set to flashing red in early February to evaluate traffic flow, and if four way stop signs were needed. The decision to keep the light was split by businesses and residents. Businesses supported the stop signs and residents supported the light.
The test was only planned for 30 days, but was extended because of feedback from residents and business owners. The test results were inclusive.
