Decatur – The city council will vote tonight on whether to give the Decatur Library a loan to pay for operations and make payroll.
The Decatur Library has a $142k deficit. If approved, the loan is to be paid back when the library gets their tax receipts this summer. The library hopes to borrow 750 thousand from the city.
The library has until September 1st to come up with the plan to bail itself out.
