Kick’n asphalt run to benefit two local causes

Posted:

Decatur – A different kind of 5K run is coming to Decatur for a great cause.

Heritage Behavioral Health Center and Easter Seals joined together to announce the Kick'n Asphalt Race. It is the first of its kind and will have runners on a trail through Graceland Cemetery.

Some of the organizers explain why it's important that they combined two great causes. "Basically there are so many and so many wonderful people that come out to everything and think they want to help with everything we decided that two great organizations should go together and do one event..." "We decided that it was worth while to collaborate so they can reach more lives in the community"

The race will take place in October at dusk. To register head to www.kicknasphaltdecatur.com
