Gun violence continues to climb

Champaign – A fifth incident of shots fired last night, just after community members join forces to end recent gun violence.

 

Five shootings have been reported since Friday. Police say shots were fired from a car at Fifth and Vine in Champaign, around 7:45 Monday night.

 

No injuries have been reported, and police are investigating. Six people were injured after the four previous shootings, one man has been arrested but police are searching for other suspects.
