Champaign – A fifth shooting in Champaign lands two men behind bars.

Champaign Police say it happened around 7:30 Monday evening, in the area of Fifth and Vine Streets. Police say people in a car fired shots at another vehicle, which also hit a home.

No one was injured during the shooting. Police later arrested 19 year old Kyantae Weatherall and 19 year old Aaron Kirby.

The arrests followed that of Jamonte Hill, in connection with the weekend's string of shootings. From Friday to Monday, five shooting incidents took place, injuring six people.

Chief Deputy Troy Daniels says more arrests will follow. They have several suspects though are not sharing descriptions at this time. Police say most of the incidents are believed to be gang-related.

If you have any information you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 373-TIPS.
