Police searching for two suspects wanted for Mimosa Street Shooting
Champaign – Police are searching for two suspects in the first of five shootings that happened since Friday in Champaign.
Police are looking for 22 year old Kevin Akins and 23 year old Qwantrell Ayres, both men are wanted for aggravated discharge of a firearm in connection with the shooting that occurred on June 7, in the 1100 block of Mimosa.
A warrant has been issued for their arrest, and bond has been set at 1-million dollars.
The men are considered armed and dangerous. You are asked to call Crime Stoppers or Champaign Police if you see them, do not approach them.
