Busy weekend for burglaries in Christian Co.



CHRISTIAN COUNTY -- Police need your help solving several weekend burglaries in Christian County.

According to Sheriff Bruce Kettelkamp, $20,000 worth of items were taken from a home in a Taylorville neighborhood.

Additionally, two ATVs were stolen from an open machine shed in May Township.

Nine hundred dollars in cash and checks were also taken from Assumption Cooperative Grain Company in Pana.

Grain elevator employee Josh Bland said it's not the first time the grain elevator has been burglarized.

"It's just frustrating that people don't have anything better to do than go steal from people that are trying to make a hard-earned living," Bland said.
