Rash of credit card thefts

Springfield - Police need your help with a rash of credit card thefts.

Since August of 2012, several suspects have been stealing credit cards and wallets at various restaurants such as Panera Bread, Starbucks, Cracker Barrel, and Longhorn Steakhouse. Directly following the theft the suspects us the victim's credit and debit cards to make large purchases.

Detectives have not had success positively identifying any of the suspects.  The suspects are described as male and female, all races, typically well dressed and appear to be between the ages of 30-50.  It is suspected that this is a professional pick-pocket ring of several suspects, and are likely not from the Springfield area.

If you have any information pertaining to these investigations can contact Sgt. Sara Jett 788-8345 ext. 351 or Detective Jennifer Oglesby at 788-8345 ext. 346, or by calling Crime Stoppers at 788-8427.
