Rantoul – A fire in Rantoul is under investigation, after heavily damaging a home last week.
A fire at 1180 Bel Air Drive sustained about $60,000 in damage. Assistant Fire Chief, Kevin Kaiser says they are now investigating the fire as arson. The department says the fire had been set intentionally.
The Assistant Fire Chief says the man who rents the home was in jail at the time, on failure to appear in court on DUI charges and failure to pay child support.
