Neighborhood walks becoming a tradition


Decatur – A successful program is starting its second year in Decatur.


The city council is starting up its neighborhood walks program tonight at 5:30. These walks started last year to better connect the people of Decatur to their elected officials.


Members of the city council will visit a number of neighborhoods in Decatur throughout the summer and fall, to visit with residence about local successes and concerns. Tonight's walk will take place at the Elms and Poole Street area.
