Decatur – A memorial blood drive and pinewood derby race is set for Saturday.
The drive and derby will be in honor of 60 year old Mark Howard. He was killed in a crash back in December.
Police say a drunk driver ran a red light and hit Howard then drove off from the crash. The driver pleaded guilty to drunk driving charges, and received eight years behind bars.
The blood drive and pinewood derby race starts Saturday morning at 9, at Glad Tidings Church on South 27th Street in Decatur.
Evangelist Franklin Graham prayed on a sidewalk outside the Pentagon Thursday after his invitation to a prayer service inside was withdrawn because of comments that insulted people of other religions. More>>
