Springfield Police warn of possible scam

Posted:

Springfield – Police are warning of a possible scam of caller claiming they work for Hy-Vee.

A caller is allegedly doing a survey for the new Springfield store. The caller tells you that your name will be put in a drawing, were you could win a trip or free coupons. The caller then asks for your address to deliver the coupons, and says there will be something else they want to show you.

A representative from Hy-Vee confirmed that they are not doing any surveys in the area.

The public is reminded to never give out personal information over the phone. If you believe that you have been a victim of any type of scam contact the Springfield Police at 788-8325.
