Reward to help stop heroin trafficking

Springfield – The state is offering 10-thousand dollars to help stop heroin trafficking.

However, this reward is being offered in an effort to uncover any elected official involved or protecting heroin dealers. The Illinois State Crime Commission is making the offer through July.

The reward comes after a surge in heroin related deaths, and the recent arrests of police officers and southwestern Illinois judges involved in drug sales.
