Decatur – A former Macon County Sheriff's Deputy who crashed into a vehicle causing a man to lose his legs takes a plea deal.
Brian Duff, 41, pleads guilty to petty offenses, driving to fast for conditions and failure to drive with due care. Originally felony charges had been filed against Duff, those have been dropped. Duff must pay a fine of 500 dollars.
On June 29th of last year, police say Duff crashed into the back of a truck in Decatur. Tom Lennox, 55, who was in the roadway was hit, and lost both of his legs as a result of the crash.
