Champaign/Urbana- Some people know what it feels like to be homeless. While others hope that more people will not get a chance to live on the streets.
The Champaign-Urbana Community came together to fight homelessness on Saturday at Hessel Park. It was more than just a fundraising event. Participants walked with grocery carts, wagons, strollers and backpacks in hopes to fill them with donated items for people in need.
This year's goal was to raise $20,000 to provide professional case management for residents in need.
