Champaign – A local organization sets a new record.
The United Way of Champaign County exceeded their fundraising goal this year. In their 2012 campaign, they raised just under three and a half million dollars. The organization can now fund their 67 programs and 37 local service agencies.
Big donors include Carle Hospital, The U of I, Busey Bank, and Christie Clinic.
Evangelist Franklin Graham prayed on a sidewalk outside the Pentagon Thursday after his invitation to a prayer service inside was withdrawn because of comments that insulted people of other religions. More>>
