Gay marriage supporters hold town hall meeting

Springfield- Gay marriage supporters are holding a town hall meeting this Thursday night.

The meeting is to urge lawmakers to pass the legislation. The town hall meeting will be at the Abraham Lincoln Unitarian Universalist Church in Springfield.

Legislation extending marriage to gay couples in Illinois passed the state senate in February, but still awaits a vote in the house. The group, Illinois Unites for Marriage says they are rebuilding and refocusing their strategy to help move the bill along.
