police are investigating a possible drowning incident that occurred at the
Women's Shelter in Danville.
Police were called to 201 N
Hazel Tuesday afternoon. A child was found at the bottom of the pool. Shelter employees immediately got her out. When police arrived employees of the shelter were conducting CPR on an 11
year old girl.
The girl was taken to a local hospital.
Her condition is not known at this time.
The pool does not employ
lifeguards. However, signs are posted warning that no one under the age of 18 is to
