New computer systems for concealed carry background checks
Springfield – Contracts are being
awarded for computer upgrades that will screen for people not allowed to carry
concealed weapons under the state's laws.
Two new contracts are going to Levi, Ray
and Shoup of Springfield for more than 350-thousand dollars. Illinois State
Police will be getting a program that automates the entry of names into the National
Instant Criminal Background Check System.
The Department of Human Services will
receive help with the concealed carry bill's new laws concerning mental health
