Scholarship to honor long time farmer

Decatur – Richland Community College's annual scholarship now has a name.

 

Emmett Sefton, was a farmer in Macon County for more than 50 years. He also served as secretary of the RCC Board of Trustees. Sefton died last month at age 81.

 

The scholarship will now be known as the "Emmett Sefton Memorial Endowed Scholarship."  It will help future students be able to afford a college education.
