Champaign – The decision to make and internet service provider a non-profit continues tonight.
City officials say a new agreement to spin off Urbana-Champaign Big Broadband as a private non-profit company needs stronger policies.
Until now the $30,000,000 project received most of it's funding from the federal government. The cities and the U of I received a federal grant that paid for construction in under-served neighborhoods to access internet.
