Permit would help streamline Lake Decatur renovations

DECATUR -- Decatur city leaders are looking at making more improvements to Lake Decatur.

The city is seeking an overall permit from the Corps of Engineers, which governs any changes to Lake Decatur's activities, docks and piers.

City manager, Ryan McCrady, said the permit would help streamline the process of lakeside renovations.

"It will save us quite a bit of time and expense in the future once we have the overall permit," McCrady said.
