City of Urbana to work on “toxic work place”

Posted:

Urbana – Efforts to better the work environment for the city of Urbana is getting a push tonight.

This comes after the acting comptroller resigned, saying he worked in a toxic work place. The city says that Bill Dejarnette said back in June when he announced his retirement. He described the environment as pervasive and intimidating.

Now the city will go over personnel polices and procedures to make sure they have the best practices for employees.
