Jacksonville – A new site for a
water treatment plant in Jacksonville
has been selected.
The new plant will be
right by the current plant. The new location is outside of the flood zone. Back in June of 2011 the current plant was shut
down for a few weeks
The new plant is expected to cost up
to 35,000,000 dollars. The price tag will be passed on to the
customer by raising monthly water rates. Bills could increase from $4 to $14
dollars depending on how much water is used.
