Man sentenced for hitting student while driving drunk
Champaign – A man is sentenced after driving under the influence of alcohol.
Albert Fleming, 21, was driving under the influence, when he hit a University of Illinois student. The incident occurred on October 13, 2012, on University Avenue just east of Carle Foundation Hospital, around 11:50 p.m.
Anthony Pauls, 22, had also been drinking, when he was hit by Fleming's car. His blood alcohol content was 0.25 percent. He died from blunt force traumatic injuries.
