Habitat for Humanity receives large grant

Champaign – Habitat for Humanity for Champaign County will get some extra help.

Habitat will get a $2,000,000 grant part of the money will also come from local fundraising. The additional money will help them launch new programs to help build 6-9 homes a year.

The new grant funding comes from the state attorney general's office, courtesy of a $70 million settlement fund that is to help Illinois communities hurt by the national mortgage foreclosure crisis.
