Senior Center Selling Food to Rebuild

LINCOLN-A senior center in Central Illinois is asking for your help this weekend to raise money to rebuild after a fire.

It's been two months since a massive fire at the oasis senior center in Lincoln.

This weekend at the Balloon Festival in Lincoln they're selling food like river chips, pulled pork, lemon shakeups, and funnel cakes.

All the proceeds from the Oasis Cafe go toward rebuilding, relocating, or building a new center.

They are waiting for an insurance bid, but say it is unlikely to cover the full cost, and they will rely on contributions from the community.

They hope to raise at least 10 thousand dollars this weekend.
