Farm Progress includes donation locations for local charities
Decatur - The Salvation Army will be collecting non-perishable food donations at Gate 9 of the Farm Progress Show.
"The Farm Progress Show has included us many times with this wonderful donation," said Captain Wes Dalberg, Corps Officer of The Salvation Army in Decatur, Illinois. "It is our hope and prayer that those attending the show will bring a can good or box of cereal or pasta that we can offer the residents of Decatur, when their shelves are empty," added Dalberg.
The Farm Progress Show is also assisting two other food pantries, Northeast Community Fund and Catholic Charities. Monsanto will donate $1.00 for every pound of food donated to the United Way and the Howard G. Buffet Foundation will donate $1.00 for every pound of food donated to the Feeding America program.
The Farm Progress show starts on Tuesday and runs through Thursday this week.
