Springfield Board of Education Passes Residency Requirements for Administrators
Springfield - If school administrators want to work for the Springfield district, they'll have to live in the district.
If students are to attend Springfield schools, their families must live in the city limits, and that rule also applies to administrators who want to work in the district.
Interim Superintendent Bob Leming said that by living in Springfield, it shows an administrators commitment to the district, and the community they work in.
"I think it's important for administrators to do that, and have that level of commitment. It shows a commitment to the district, to the families, for where they send their children to school," Leming told WAND News.
Of the district's 90 administrators, Leming said that only four currently do not live in Springfield.
