Multiple Sclerosis, or M.S. is a disease that affects the nervous system. However, M.S. affects everyone differently. Sunday, September 8th marked the 2013 annual Walk MS. Walk MS was established in 1988 and is the featured national fundraising event for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. There are more than 200,000 walkers and 45,000 volunteers participating across the nation. Walk MS took place at Meadowbrook Park in Urbana, where hundreds walked to raise money and awareness for M.S.
